Jim Mann, Jr., Council, Ward 2

Wife: Rachel
Sons: Darren and Austin

Monticello is a "can-do" community. We have so many people and organizations that get behind issues and projects in order turn them into reality. People care about other and step-up when action is needed.

I am serving in my second term as a City Councilman. I am the council liaison to the water and sewer departments. In both of these departments, there are many state mandates that impact us on the local level without funding options. This requires staying on top of issues at the state level. I also serve as the Council representative on the Kankakee-Iroquois Regional Planning Commission (K-IRPC). Downtown revitalization issues are important to me. A vibrant downtown makes a healthy community. As a member of the Economic Action Team, I am committed to economic development issues that impact our citizens.

Rachel and I have been blessed to make Monticello our home and raise our sons here.
