I have served on the City Council since August 1, 2007. I was appointed by the Republican City Caucus to complete the term of Councilman Jay Clawson who moved out of the city limits. I am a retired Social Studies teacher - I taught Government, Economics, and U.S. History for 37 years at twin Lakes High School. I have owned and operated a summer business at the Indiana Beach Campground for 25 years.

During the short time that I have been on the Council, I have been very impressed with the high quality and dedication of our city dept. heads and employees. They have continued to deliver excellent performance during a most difficult and troubled time in our city government's history. I am the city council's liaison to the Monticello Fire Dept., the department with most city employees. We are blessed to have such a fine dept. of qualified professionals providing fire and rescue/ambulance services to our community!
