The newly elected Clerk Treasurer, Liz Oilar, is excited to begin her first term in office. Becoming the City of Monticello's Fiscal Officer and the Head of the Department of Finance is a proud achievement of the 2007 General Election. Liz is looking forward to serving the citizens of Monticello as she devotes her time and energy into this new position.Serving as Deputy Clerk, Patricia Golden is in her eleventh year of working in the Clerk/Treasurer's Office. Pat is certified as an Indiana Accredited Municipal Clerk. She also attends numerous state educational workshops.

The Clerk Treasurer provides the City Council with budget estimates, financial statements and proposed tax rates. All fees due to the City through fixed ordinances are collected and accounted for in the Clerk Treasurer's office. The Clerk-Treasurer serves as the secretary and record-keeper for the City Council and Board of Public Works and Safety.
The Clerk Treasurer's office is located in the Municipal Building. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
