What's New in Our Parks

The Monticello City Park announces the opening of the new City Park/DNR Access Site.  The property is located on the lower lake side of the City Park.

This property was developed as an access site to provide our community with additional access to the lakes through a joint partnership between the Monticello Parks and Recreation, DNR, SFLECC, and the Monticello Rotary Club.  This site is a free DNR State Access Site and is ADA Compliant. Its deep port saves approximately thirty minutes of travel time to access the main part of the lake.

The City Park/DNR Access Site joins two other sites available to the community to access Lake Freeman:  the Norway access Site and the Bluewater Beach Access Site.
