May in the Parks
The Monticello Parks Department announces its programming for the month of May.
May 10th Music by the Fire - Friday 7pm - Altherr Nature Park Amphitheater ( In case of rain- Anheier Building in City Park) Students from Frankie Rupe’s School of Guitar will play by the campfire and during a break we will roast marshmallows for S’mores. For all ages, free, dress for the weather.
May 18th Day of Caring Part 2 –Saturday 9-11am - Altherr Nature Park. Hosted by White County United Way and Monticello Parks Department, we will work on invasive species removal.
May 23rd Summer Reading Kick Off- Thursday 2-4pm- City Park- The Library and Parks will hold a carnival to kick off their summer programs.
May 28th POP Kickoff at the Farmer’s Market- Tuesday 4-7pm on Constitution Plaza by the Courthouse. Sign up your kids to purchase and eat healthy food, play and exercise, all while studying about healthy living. Everyone will enjoy the Farmer’s Market.
