Your Streets . . . safe and well-maintained.

The primary mission of the Monticello Street Department is to provide a safe and well-maintained city street network. As a department, we strive to give our citizens the most cost effective and competent services. We take pride in being responsive in a timely fashion to citizens' concerns and requests. Major functions of the street department include: Street Resurfacing, Snow Removal, Leaf Pick-up, Brush Removal, Street Sweeping, Right-of-Way Mowing and General Street Maintenance. Annually, city street employees assist the Streets of Monticello Association (S.O.M.A.) in downtown beautification projects. Workers also are responsible putting-up, removing and storing the holiday Christmas decorations.

The City of Monticello is seeking qualified applicants for a street department laborer.

Job duties include, but not limited to performing physical labor, operating various trucks and equipment for extended periods of time in the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of city streets and right of ways.. Report Street Repairs
