Mayor Sims is excited to announce the selection of the City of Monticello for award of the Community Crossings Matching Grant funding in the amount of $1,038,258.00, which results in a total project cost of nearly $1.4M. The scope of the project will provide roadway improvements on Beechwood Drive, including new concrete curb and gutter, ADA compliant sidewalk and curb ramps, and asphalt pavement. The city will fund 25% of the project cost and the INDOT award provides 75% of the project cost. The City of Monticello has participated in the Community Crossings Matching Grant program since 2016 and this award is another great step in advancing the roadway and pedestrian network in the City of Monticello.

The Monticello Streets Department has announced the annual Spring Clean-Up Days. Spring Clean-Up 2024 will be on Saturday, April 20th for the East Side of Main St. and on Saturday, April 27th for the West Side of Main St.
